This page is here because we needed to keep track of food intake following a bariatric operation. We also wanted to learn as much as we could about nutrition, and we wanted to achieve these goals as painlessly as possible without having to become rocket scientists.
The Internet provides a huge amount of information on nutritional matters, and we have put together a collection of links to websites that are particularly useful in this respect. There are also quite a few apps available for keeping track of food intake, most of which we have test driven. Unfortunately, nothing we have seen so far seems to do quite what we want. As a result we created our own app, which in turn inspired the creation of this website. Whether you are trying to lose (or gain) weight, or just learn a bit more about nutrition, we hope this site - and the app - will help you to do just that.
Please note that we do not claim to provide professional medical or nutritional advice. What we can tell you about is our own experiences, which have convinced us that crash diets and other radical measures can be detrimental to your health with no guarantee of long term benefits. So, if you are considering undertaking a diet, for whatever reason, we would urge you to seek professional advice.
